NIGHT VISION

1- Night Vision Goggle (NVG)

AEROTEC GROUP has developed modern high performance night vision goggles associated with a new technology of image intensifying tubes.

HELA MK1


Night Vision Goggle for helicopter pilots.

The HELA Mk1 is a performing stereoscopic Night Vision System for helicopter and transport aircraft pilots, available either with 40° or 60° visual field.

Compatible with 2nd GEN tubes or 3rd GEN tubes meeting / fulfilling ANVIS standards.

2nd GEN tubes, having a resolution up to 80 pl /mm, are available in Europe with autogating power supply which protects operators from being dazzled by artificial light sources.

Eyepiece lens is designed to offer 26 mm eye relief (compatible with spectacles) and a comfortable 10 mm pupil diameter.

Basic version has no filter, in order to give the best performance at low light level staying compatible with modern cockpit lighting. On customer request A, B, C filters can be fitted.

Mechanical and electrical interface is compliant with ANVIS standards and allows separation of goggles in case of heavy shock and all the necessary adjustments to adapt the NVGs to individual morphology. HELA NVGs are handed over with: 4 lens protection caps, operator’s manual, cleaning kit, transport and storage case.

Aerotec Group also offers operational users a control unit VT1 for HELA Mk1 NVGs to check before take-off if equipment performance level still complies with their operational standards.


HELA MK2


High performance Night Vision Goggle for helicopter and transport pilots.

HELA MK2 optical design gives high optical performance while reducing weight and length which both reduce momentum and consequently neck strain during long flights. It associates compactness, lightness and performance to offer the best to the pilot.

The Optical system is optimized to operate with either 2nd GEN or 3rd GEN tubes.

2nd GEN tubes having the resolution of up to 80 pl/mm are available in Europe with autogating power supply, which protects operators from being dazzled by artificial light sources. Only French 2nd GEN tubes offer BLACK & WHITE screen with enhanced contrast.

2- Night Vision Monocular

LEA MK1


LEA Mk1 is a lightweight, compact & powerful, high performance night vision monocular to be used as hand-held observation system or hands free on a face mask or helmet-mounted.
It is available with an integrated battery or with a mounted battery pack, which is used as a counter balance on the back of the face mask or helmet.

LEA Mk1 consists of :

- a fiber-enforced plastic moulding containing,
- an ANVIS type 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen Image Intensifier Tube,
- a 1x magnifying focused objective,
- an eyepiece with diopter setting indications,
- an eye guard (with demist filter)
- a integrated in-eyepiece battery-low indicator,
- an OFF/ON/IR rotary switch (IR switch protected against accidental start).

LEA MK2


High performance Night Vision Monocular developed for Special operation Forces.

LEA Mk2 is a lightweight, compact very high performance night vision monocular to be used as handheld observation system or hands free on a face mask or helmet-mounted.

LEA MK2 consists of :
- a PMMA moulding which contains an ANVIS type 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen Image Intensifier Tube,
- an 1x magnifying focusable objective, with protective cover and day-training filter,
- an eyepiece with dioptre setting indications.

Optical system is optimized to operate either with 2nd GEN tubes or 3rd GEN tubes. 2nd GEN tubes with resolution up to 80 pl/mm are available in Europe with autogating power supply which protects operators from being dazzled by artificial light sources. VT1


Night Vision Goggles Control Unit

1st level maintenance control unit for any type of NVG fitted with either 2nd Gen or 3rd Gen IIT. VT1 is designed to check, before take-off, that the performance level of the NVGs is still compliant with the current operational rules.

The optical system is totally lightproof, so measurement operations can be conducted anywhere without the need of any darkroom to guarantee the validity of the measurements (unlike another similar equipment offered for the same purpose).

Night Vision Monocular Control Unit

First level maintenance control unit to be used before going on a mission, to check that the level of performance of the equipments is still in accordance with the regulations issued by the end user authority.

The measurement system is totally light proof, so the control can be made anywhere without the need of any dark room to guarantee an efficient measurement.

4- 2nd Gen & 3rd Gen Image Intensifying Test Bench

This laboratory equipment is designed to carry out EVALUATION of any kind of Image Intensifying Tube. This process is essential to any procurement agency in charge of order specifications and compulsory prior to IIT repair process.

List of parameters.
The ATB gives access to more than 20 parameters among which some are basic, others minor and a few for the record only. The Aerotec Group training course identifies the different class of parameters and describes the associated measurement procedures.

The following parameters are fundamental regarding the tube expertise :

- limiting resolution (centre, edge)
- photocathode quality
- Micro Channel Plate quality

1- Night Vision Goggle Compatible Lighting (ECJIL)

This latest technology was selected by most of the international exigent operators.
It can be installed on all types of fixed or rotary wings aircrafts. ECJIL combines comfort and efficiency to NVG night operations.


INTERNAL ECJIL


- Cockpit elements: the lighting is basically provided in white color (it can also be provided in green on clients’ request)
- Striplights integrated in a glare shield
- Control panel, warning light, front and lateral consoles, screen transformed to be compatible with NVG
